Webinar Description

Following Japan's 2050 Net zero pledge and METI's Net Zero Growth Plan citing 50-60% renewable energy targets, this is a multi-stakeholder discussion to generate ideas on policy changes needed in the short/medium terms to achieve and exceed these targets. A focus of the discussion will be what Japan's 2030 Strategic Energy Plan targets and associated energy policy measures should be to feed into the 2050 goals. The format will be online presentations and panel discussions via zoom, with several key themes discussed by experts, facilitated by a moderator to encourage debate and questions from the audience. While most speakers and attendees will be from Japan, there will be input from global expert.
